Officials are reporting that the Little Sioux Scout Ranch located on 1800 acres 1 hour north of Omaha was completely destroyed.

The Scouts that are at the Boy Scout Camp are the ages of 13-18 years old and were there for training living in tents. Officials said that all the tents, buildings and trees are leveled.

You might have expected something like this from a small site, but not from Amazon, one of the busiest sites on the internet. With it going down the Amazon site is due to loose some large revenue.

I’m sure the Amazon engineers are working to resolve the issue quickly.

Abortion, Religion and Politics, the three subjects that are sure to stir up emotion and great debate. They say if you want to remain friends with someone or not ruin a relationship, stay away from these subjects. Oh man, how can I resist, in today’s post I think I’ll start with Politics.

Politics

Wowwee! What a year this is turning out to be for our United States Presidential Election 2008. First, the big news is the Democratic race for the White House.

“In one corner we have Hillary Clinton wearing the slick pant suit.”

“In the other corner we have Barack Obama wearing the grin of “I’ve got more money than you Hillary”

We are in the final round and it is a close fight, Barack seems to have the favor with the judges, but Hillary just won’t give up.

My perspective on the Democratic Race for the White House.

IT’S A JOKE! Wasting money and time keeping the Democratic Party pitted against each other while the Republican party sits back and laughs. If they had the Democratic primaries set up like the Republican’s, Barack Obama would be the nominee for the Democratic Party. This is because it is based on states won and the amount of votes received. Just give it to Barack!

Now we move on to my party, the Republican Party. I bet you thought I was a Democrat and a Barack Obama supporter based on the paragraph above. LOL.

“In this corner we have John McCain wearing Hanoi Hilton stripes”

“In the other corner we have…….hello…….it’s a forfeit!

John McCain blew the competition away so early that the other day I couldn’t remember Romney’s name.

My perspective on the Republican Parties Nomination process.

The Republicans know how to get things done, hands down! The great American and war hero John McCain is the best choice that the Republican Party could have made. No other Republican could appeal to more of the Independent or left than John McCain could. He was by far the best choice.

This brings us to my perspective on the United States Presidential Election 2008.

Who should you vote for? McCain or Obama.

Lets face it, we know it’s going be between these two. Which one would make the best choice for the Presidential Election of 2008?

Let’s take a look at the Republican Candidate first, Senator John McCain. The man with all the experience, dignity, and versatility. You know he will keep America’s defense strong, border’s secure and soldiers in Iraq. He has plans to improve the economy, reduce unemployment, and lower taxes. He wants to implement methods and policies that will make the health care industry more competitive, allowing more American’s to have access to health care. In My opinion John McCain would be a great improvement over George Bush, I really think he could get more done.

The Democratic Candidate Senator Barack Obama, full of charisma and new ideas, made a big splash on the political scene. The big slogan with Barack Obama’s campaign is “change”. Can he actually accomplish that in today’s world? Can any President. One thing he wants to do is pull out of Iraq right away. I don’t know if that is smart or even feasible and does it really matter anyways. I don’t thing things could be any worse for us if we did. He has plans to stimulate the economy, tax the rich, untax the poor. Obama has a plan to give every American health care coverage, now this one hits home for me.
I have been taxed big time for the large income I have made for the last 8 years of my life. I have created jobs with my own company and helped stimulate the economy. Then last year my wife was struck with a rare cancer. Having not been able to insure her with anyone before because of pre-existing condition of diabetes, I had no health coverage for her.
Within a matter of months I lost everything, my vehicles, my company and my savings. It was a full time job trying to get her care and treatment for her cancer. The reason it was so tough getting her treatment was because our State of Oregon and the Federal Government didn’t have the money for her to get into Medicaid. The store was closed, no new patients no matter what your income. We had to find treatment on our own, give them what we had and beg for treatment.

I was there to pay the taxes but they weren’t there for us.

Something has to change. I don’t agree with all of the principles of the Democratic Party or those of Barack Obama. But I also don’t agree with all of the policies of John McCain and the Republican Party. Why can’t there be a more of a middle of the road party, oh ya, the Independent Party (Nah, not a chance).

So it all comes down to this, we need the change. John McCain is not going to make a difference, he has only bandaids and it will not change anything. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but after voting Republican for the last 30 years, I’m going to cast my vote for Senator Barack Obama in November. I believe he is the best chance this country has to prosper and move into the future.
